Up for your consideration is a clone of the Mcintosh R1163 rotary control mcc series car audio amplifiers. I have two installs using the mcc301m and can tell you difference is astonishing.

Only recently was I lucky enough to find an unused unit, which quickly purchased. Neither of these differences impact the functionality in any way.

Identical to the original with exception of size knob and a detente on potentiate swing. Needing a second for my other system, I decided to reverse engineer the one found.

These have been fully tested and work perfectly. I figured make a few extra while was at it so now am making these available to anyone else who has been wanting one. No other warranty is provided. These were time consuming to make, so when they are gone I will likely not make any more.

Calls to both Mcintosh and George Meyer turned up nothing. Unlike line level controllers like the PAC lc1, this control not only attenuates, but also boosts output of these amplifiers by as much 12db.
